Facing the big killer – Diabetes. The World Health Organization pays close attention to, searching for a "hero" from various places is taxing their ingenuity to fight and capture the diabetes.

GangZhu Wang, chief physician and president of Shijiazhuang Diabetes Hospital, is one of the outstanding and skillful experts in preventing and curing diabetes.

"Soothing the liver to regulate qi" Law: a Law that the diabetes gets a permanent cure that takes the course of its own.

Over the past 20 years, while exploring in the practice, Dr. Wang initiated a brand new theory. In his publication: "Functioning diabetic blood sugar by soothing the liver to regulate qi," which obtained first prize at the Scientific and Technological Progress of Shijiazhuang in 2000, and was honorably listed in the "15 National Key Popularization Plans of Scientific and Technical Achievements" in 2001, and sanctioned as the technical backstopping unit.

"Curing diabetes by Chinese medical law: soothing the liver to regulate qi" is an innovative theory discarding traditional Chinese and western medicine law in curing diabetes. This theory regards diabetes as a disorderly disease of endocrine suppression, including such nutrients as candy, fat, protein, etc., and belonging to the body fluids category of qi and blood in traditional Chinese medicine, accomplished in the course of zang-fu (internal organs) and qi activity in internal running and dredging, while the liver’s dredging course is an essential factor of guaranteeing the whole qi (internal organs) activity. Only if the liver’s dredging function is normal can the normal running of the body fluids of qi and blood and dredging be guaranteed. The impeded flow of liver–qi and disorder of qi activity (should be up, but is down), can cause a refined essence functioning blood sugar failure to dredge in the whole body followed by lucid yang-qi and silt up in the blood, thus resulting in the appearance of high blood sugar; or if this does not lower, refined essence purgates and the diabetic urine appears . Treating diabetes must take "soothing the liver to regulate qi" as law, recovering their physiological functions by soothing the liver, and only an ordered liver-qi and qi activity can dredge the refined essence, sugar can be utilized and blood sugar level declines naturally. As verified clinically, adhering to the law "soothing the liver to regulate qi" for treating Diabetes II, not only can one recover the function of insulin to increase the releasing amount of insulin, but can as well improve the combining rate of the insulin receptor, effectively reducing the blood sugar level after meals, and preventing the diabetic complications from developing, thus achieving the purpose to fundamentally cure the diabetes.

According to the new thinking of "soothing the liver to regulate qi," President GangZhu Wang puts forward the scientific "six in one" model as a recovering project (i.e. under "soothing the liver to regulate qi," scientific prevention, scientific diagnosis, scientific treatment, scientific diet, scientific sports, and regulation of emotional sensitivity). This has been implemented in an all-around manner in the clinic, breaking through the simple and over-dependence on the medicine or doctors to prevent and cure, and has rather become the innovative scientific system of preventing and curing the diabetes. President Wang’s theory has led to remarkable achievements. The whole management system of the "six in one" model to prevent and cure diabetes offers the effective assurance for improved health and life security when diagnosed with diabetes, by implementing a lifetime follow-up service to the patient, by being inter-dynamic between doctors and the diabetic patients to produce a sympathetic response.

Under this new innovative direction, the hospital developed YiDao Sheng (Insulin Growth) Series to reduce blood sugar without meal and after a meal, to improve the secretion of insulin to increase the combining rate of the insulin receptor. This innovative project was awarded the Gold Medal of new technological products at the 10th National Exhibition of Invention as part of the 15th National Key Scientific Technological Projects. A new medicine, Mateng Xiao Pill (Disappearance Pill of Diabetic Numbness and Pain) has been developed and has now filled the gap in curing diabetic peripheral nervous system of pathological changes, and diabetic feet, rewriting the history of being without medicine in curing diabetics. It was as well awarded a Gold Medal for innovation at the First China National Health Day.
